‘places small shriveled nutshell on desk’
Yes, this is a VERY small nutshell for June. Why? Because the Black Death swept through our house in mid May and decided to stay for an extended visit. The nasty thing had a regular holiday messing with us and nearly got the best of us a couple of times. Because of this less-than-welcome house guest, June was mostly lived in outright survival mode, either trying to just live through the flu in our temporary hospital ward, or work and do double-duty for the infirmed.
So some of us spent June looking like this . . .
Or this . . .
We all took turns. We’re a very fair family.
So, with that explanation out of the way – onto the teensy, tiny nutshell.
Hosted and wrapped up The Reluctant Godfather’s blog tour and giveaway.
Sketched out a ‘plan of attack’ for my future writing.
Wrote. A little. ‘nervous laugh, buries face in keyboard’
Updated my Goodreads Reading Challenge because I am just TOO GOOD. #kidding. But I did up the challenge from 120 books to 170.
Shipped out giveaway packages to two lucky winners.
Had the opportunity to share my art portfolio with an author seeking an illustrator.
AND – moved furniture and cleaned – a lot. After sharing a bedroom with my two sisters for eighteen years my twin and I are moving out and my older sister will have the bedroom all to herself.
My twin and I will be moving into our living room, which we are converting into a bedroom. Our house has one of those confounded open floor plans, so it’s taken some ingenuity (and a wall to wall row of bookshelves) to achieve some privacy and block former traffic flow.
UNFORTUNATELY – I didn’t take ‘before’ pictures of our living room. ‘beats head against desk’. #Iblamethesickness
And that my dear followers . . . ‘checks notes feebly’ . . . is the nutshell.
I like being happy – and I like answering questions – so you can bet that I had a lovely time pulling together this tag! 😀

Hey, Alli! Wow, it seems like your family has gotten big, bad, illnesses several times this year. I’m sorry. 🙁 But I’m glad everyone is on the road to recovery now.
Those are great happy things! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Huh, I didn’t realize they made coffee M&Ms. I prefer the raspberry ones on the rare occasions when they’ve made them. And you know what I like more than those? Peanut butter slathered on an Oreo! 😀 Yes, I did get that from the Lindsey Lohan version of “The Parent Trap”, but it really is good! Haven’t had it in a long while, though, because it’s not very healthy and I’ve never had a metabolism that lets me get away with that kind of thing for long. Another happy thing is making good progress on writing. Which…I should actually be doing right now instead of procrastinating on the internet. :p *slinks away to write*
Aww, thanks, E.F.B – yeah, it kind of goes in cycles! Some years, not a sniffle – other years, we get everything. 🙂 Thanks – Praise God, we’ve pulled out of that nastiness!
Thank you for reading!
Oh yes, they are so good! That’s funny – I wonder if they are only in certain areas – because I have some friends who haven’t found them in their local stores either. ‘scratches head’ TRAGIC! Wow, raspberry? I’ve tried the strawberry ones and they were pretty good, but I haven’t seen raspberry ones!
PEANUT BUTTER ON OREOS / Parent Trap – YES!! I remember when we first watched that years ago, my twin and I started eating peanut butter and oreos. 🙂 Oddly enough, in recent years my taste buds have changed and I don’t care much for Oreos anymore…
Ugh – yeah – ‘nods’ – sorry, E.F.B – I know what you mean – my body freaks out with too much junk food too…
HAHAAHA – write? Do we have too? Can’t we just blog and stalk blog instead?
‘millions of mental eyeballs stare in judgement at me’
Okay, I’m going… ‘slinks away meekly after E.F.B.’ 🙂
Oh, ugh, sickness is no fun. We’ve been sick practically all month as well, and some of us are still recovering. 😛 Therefore, not much writing/anything productive has been done. Here’s to a fantastic, sickness-free July for us both!
Oh no!! Ugh, I’m sorry to hear that, Zane! 🙁
Yes – please Dear Lord, grant the Jones’ and the Tebo’s a sick-free month! AMEN!
I love this post, Allison! You always make me laugh so hard with your gifs! Congrats on making it through the month of June! (Although, I guess you haven’t yet technically. There’s still a few more hours left.)
And the Enemy Brothers! I have a copy that is slowly making it’s way to me via mail! I can’t wait to read it and fangirl with you over it!
Aww, thanks, Karis! Yes! ‘fist pump’ So glad it made you laugh!
Hahhahaha! Well here it is, July 2nd and I MADE IT! Victory!
ENEMY BROTHERS! ‘squeals’ Oh goody, goody, goody – I can’t wait to hear what you think of it! <3
Hope you guys are all feeling better now. <333
It was really cool to know what makes you happy! *can't wait to stalk all the other blogs and find out their secrets also*
Thanks, Jane! <3 <3
Aha - yes, I can't wait to do some stalking too. 😀
