Holiday Hiatus & a Gift for You!

I’ve decided to take some time off from blogging to enjoy the holidays more thoroughly with my family, like I normally do every year at this time.  I’m going to miss you guys, but I’m really looking forward to my break and the chance for Refreshment before I click that Reset button in 2019!

 

 

Now, don’t cry (let’s just pretend that you are heartbroken at my departure).  I shall be returning to Allison’s Well shortly after New Years!

 

 

But, before I leave you, I want to give you a Christmas present!!!

  1. I hope you have a great time this Christmas Season with your family! I personally think breaks are very beneficial! 🙂 They always help me refocus and clear my brain and my plate before jumping back into whatever I took a break from!

    We do a lot with family around the holidays! Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day have been the same for as long as I can remember! 🙂 Of course things change, for instance we gather at different family members houses and such. Also, as the extended family grows, it can be a challenge for everyone to all be together, but we all try our hardest to keep our family traditions alive!

    1. Thank you so much, Emma! I hope you do too! Yes, BREAKS ARE GREAT. I’m just not very good at taking them – hehe! – so thank goodness for Xmas, when I finally do!

      That’s awesome that your family has been so faithful with your get togethers and your holiday traditions! It takes a LOT to coordinate that many people, but I’m sure it’s worth it!! 🙂

As with most holidays, my parents and I will just do our usual traditions at home, including watching all our Christmas themed movies, baking special things, opening presents and video chatting with extended family. We also are wanting to get our tree today. The only thing I’m taking a break from is putting new items in my Etsy shop. The holiday shipping deadline for the USPS to be able to guarantee that people will get stuff by the 25th has passed so I figured I’ll spend time building up some inventory so it will be ready to go for the coming year.

    1. We’re baking new things this year! A week ago we made a chocolate cherry loaf we’d never made before. It turned out great and was very tasty, even if it was shaped like a blob. :p My mom also plans for us to make this http://www.pbs.org/food/recipes/christmas-pavlova/ for breakfast on Christmas Eve.

      Definitely. 😀 Especially this year since we have to find a tree that will fit in the corner where we can block it off to keep the 11 month-old puppy from eating needles, tipping it over, or stealing the ornaments. 😛

I always appreciate your support. <3 Along with new designs, I plan in 2019 to re-make certain items that got a good response, try to keep them in stock, and offer color options where I can. Creating items that sell repeatedly makes the Etsy algorithm happy, and I'm hoping doing that might, in addition to creating best sellers for my shop, draw in customers who could also buy the one-of-a-kind things. 🙂
