Don’t worry, Allison’s Well isn’t going anywhere. I’m just expanding.
I might have mentioned a little while ago that my author website was getting a design overhaul.
It is my great pleasure to announce that the website project IS FINISHED.
You can behold all the gold and goodness RIGHT HERE.
But wait, before you click THERE’S SOMETHING IMPORTANT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
With this author site relaunch, I have the rather nebulous plan that I’m going to try to release a blog post over on my new author website once a month on the topics of writing and/or books.
So you’ll still be getting four posts a month from me, it’s just that one of those posts will be found over on my website’s blog.
Three posts here on AllisonsWell.com and one over on AllisonTeboAuthor.com. Four total.
I would absolutely love it if you subscribe to my new author blog! It’s going to be very similar to the content you’re getting here, just with a writing or bookish theme!
Maybe a few less gifs, as I’m trying to be a bit more serious over there.
And while you’re in the neighborhood, don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter if you want exclusive writing updates about my Tales of Ambia series and other goodies!
SO –
If you don’t respond here with “To the death” I’m going to be disappointed. ;P
(at least quote Narnia back to me, even if you don’t really mean it!) 😂
Anyway, enough chit-chat.
What you’re going to be reading today is a subject I am very passionate about – how awesome reviewers are and why authors should respect them.
It’s kind of a response to how many authors (sadly) mock their reviewers, complain about them, or are offended by their personal perceptions.
This is a post to encourage writers and readers to look at their collaboration in a (hopefully) new, exciting, and respectful way.
ARE YOU READY? I AM.
LET’S READ.
TO THE DEATHHHHHHH.
Your new website is gorgeous!!!! I’m subscribing ASAP.
(Do you like the Narnia movies? I seem to remember that you didn’t but I’m not sure.)
YAAAAASSSSSSS!!! *bows in the Narnian fashion*
AW, thank you so much, Eva!!!
I really loved the first two! I think of them as faux-Narnia (awesome fantasy movies, though nothing like the books) but . . . YES, I liked them. Haha! Lots of special memories surrounding them, as well.
I love all three films and I know they’re rather maligned in our circles, so I think it’s awesome that you like them as well. (The first two, anyway.) I tried watching the BBC adaptions, but my siblings didn’t like them and I could only watch them in our main entertainment room…so I gave up. 😛 I do know I’ll always love the movies best, though.
By the way, I tried signing up for your newsletter again and it worked this time. So yay!
The BBC versions are available on YouTube, I think, so maybe you could watch them on a laptop or mobile device?
Best? Meaning, better than the books??? *gasps* 😦😦😋
Yippeee! I’m so glad! Thanks for trying again! 😘
Oh, yeah, I think I remember seeing them on there. I’ll have to check it out!
Well, what I meant was that I liked them better than the BBC show. I don’t know if I prefer the books or movies, overall, because they’re rather different and both SO GOOD. It’s a really tough call! I love different aspects of each. 🙂
I’d love to hear your thoughts when you do! Whether you like them or not!
Oh, I gotchya! Haha! Yep, they certainly are different and they’re both good – I agree! Ahem – I got a leetle passionate there – 😛 The only thing that makes my eyes bug out with Narnia fans is when they say the movies (new ones) are like the books or basically are accurate adaptions. They’re not – but they ARE fun. *nods*
*SHRIEEEEEKS* OHMYWORD. ALLISON. IT IS THE MOST GORGEOUS THING EVERRRR. It is so professional and easily navigatable and all fairytale-ish and just so YOU.
I. AM. IN. LOVE!!!!

Oh, on a different note…I can’t seem to subscribe to your newsletter this is probably the 128392819 time I’ve tried, and all that comes up is “Subscribe to My Newsletter”. There’s no sign up below it or anything. Just those words. 🙁 I don’t know if it’s just an issue on my end or what. (Probably is)
Anyway – *runs to subscribe to and view your author blog*
Ima excited for ya!!!! xD
